Baicalin
Other Name: scutellaria baicalensis root extract
Baicalin (baicalin) is a flavonoid compound extracted from the dried roots of the dicotyledonous plant Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. It is a light yellow powder at room temperature with a bitter taste.
Properties: yellow needle-like crystals. It is relatively stable under dilute acid conditions. For example, it will not be hydrolyzed in a 2% sulfuric acid aqueous solution, but along with the acid concentration increasing, when the temperature rises to 110 ℃, it can be hydrolyzed to produce glucuronic acid and baicalein (baicalein).
